The 3 Most Powerful Exercise Motivation Factors
Have you been successful in achieving some of your workout goals? Do you have the exercise motivation to keep going even after you have failed.
Don't worry you are not alone. Many people are sometimes unsuccessful and at times they are unsure as to why they may have failed.
Everyone was not born with great genetics. In fact that is one piece of the puzzle. People reach their fitness goals not because of who they are but because of the daily decisions they make followed by action.
1. The biggest exercise motivation is knowing what you want. It is the fundamental reason that gets you to take action on the days that you don't want to workout.
Some people may want to lose belly fat so their clothes fit better and they can see their toes. On the other hand some people may need to lose weight for health reasons. Be specific and set a goal to lose 5 pounds.
Knowing exactly what you want to achieve gives you the mindset to keep going until you get there. You will also need to take specific action such as removing all sodas from your diet.
Leave no room for excuses as to why you did not accomplish your goal. Once you continue making good decisions followed by the right actions be prepared to achieve great results from your actions.
2. The second biggest exercise motivation is getting the support from others. Sometimes you just need that extra support from someone to keep you going. Just those few words of "a job well done" or "you look great did you lose weight?" Those few words can keep you going.
Be sure to return the encouragement to someone who deserves it.
If you workout alone you should be able to mix up your routine where you will be able to have some sort of interaction with like minded people. For example, when you are in the gym and you see other people exercising you will be inspired to continue.
On the other hand if you are not a member at a gym you can workout with a friend maybe at a park. You will be sure to see other people jogging or engaging in some sort of physical activity.
3. The third biggest exercise motivation is to visualize what you want and go after it. Take your mind off the negative of where you are and put it on the positive of where you will be. Keep that image in your head and run with it. This will help you to achieve your goal.
It will help you when fast food outlets look more tempting than usual. When you work hard you can reward yourself periodically with whatever you want to eat.
Even when you don't feel like working out change that thought and "Just do it" like the Nike slogan. Everyone who has ever achieved what they wanted in life started with a decision backed by action.
These are some exercise motivation tips that can keep you going when the going gets tough. Set realistic goals so that you do not get discouraged easily. You can't expect to get the body you've always wanted in 1 week. It takes setting a realistic goal and implementing a plan to get there. With hard work, determination and the support of others you can achieve your goals.
Do not look at how far you have to go but look at how far you've come. It will energize you. You don't overturn bad eating or workout habits overnight but overtime.
