If the thought of giving up brownies, chips, pizza, fry chicken and soda sounds too much then take things one day at a time. It may be unrealistic to think that you can only eat nutrious food overnight. Nutritious eating takes a little while to accomplish.

Maybe you can start with giving up drinking sodas completely. It is high in sugar and helps you pack on pounds (stay away from too much sugar). Just for that one reason you should be motivated to stop drinking sodas.

Get a good dose of fiber, vitamins and minerals by eating more nutritious food like fruits and vegetable. They are also low in calories. Every morning eat a fruit. You can add blueberries, strawberries or bannanas to your cereal or oatmeal. Drink freshly squezzed orange juice without the sugar.

When you eat your lunch have carrots, cabbage, broccoli, or asparagus. You don't have to always eat them by themselves but incorporate them into your dishes when your prepare them so that you will enjoy them.

Healthy Eating Tips #4 - don't overeat

Studies show that if we eat while watching television we will overeat. We are usually more focused on what we are watching and forget the large amounts that we are consuming. Even when you are at a restaurant we may overeat because we have to eat everything on our plates.

A simple solution is to put a smaller amount in our plates so that we stop eating when we are finished. When we go to a restaurant ask for a to go box so that you can put away some for later so that you do not overeat. If you are on the go and will not be able to take away food then find out the portion sizes served and choose one that would prevent you from eating too much.

By observing these healthy eating tips they can help you to a healthier heartier lifestyle where you have more energy to perform daily routines.
